If season 2 follows the plot of the comics there should be a few more characters introduced to the group this year.
http://m.tvline.com/2011/05/walking-...on-2-spoilers/ But the budget for the series is being cut. http://www.dreadcentral.com/news/447...t-walking-dead

This can't be a good sign. Frank Darabont no longer in charge of the show's production.

Watched the Bluray of Season one in it's entirety last night. Love the fact that it doesn't follow the threads of the original story too much, if at all really. And every episode was tense and involving with brutal and sudden explosions of violence. Episode 4 'Vatos', was brilliantly subversive and showed another side to the struggle for survival.
Cannot wait for Season Two. Hopefully with a bit more Michael Rooker. |

I'm disappointed in Darabont's departure, especially given his enthusiasm for the project, but I'm not disheartened. The foundations and benchmark have been set and I doubt anyone could expect a director of that calibre to stay in much more than an executive producer role in an ongoing television series for very long.
There a re a fair few Spielberg endorsed shows doing the rounds at the moment, but apart from a producer role I doubt he has much daily input apart from maybe signing off on the odd detail given his hectic schedule. Darabont is probably the same, too many pies and not enough fingers, he's probably just got something more interesting on his radar, his legacy will live on! After all the team in place now Frank helped put together, so happy days.

Gotta say I do like it; how slow-building and creepy it is, and character development too, even if I was initially a little bit "err..." because I'd read the comics beforehand (and am still following the series).
But I really enjoyed it! ![]()
