Jackass 3D

It's a goddamn profane masterpiece. Disgusting, sado-masochistic, scatological genius. Sure, the formula has not changed one iota, however the refinements to technique have really accentuated the comedy value of the skits. Whereas my main kick with Jackass stemmed from the looks of mania before they started a skit, now there's a genuine attempt to create comedy.

Roller Buffalo and Electric Avenue demonstrated this perfectly, and The Rocky has made slow-motion incredible again. But be warned, there is no attempt made to be sanitary, more or less every skit involves bodily discharge in some way, and those that don't often involve bone crunching pain (often genital related). I should find it revolting, I really should. But good goddamn is it entertaining, and is second only to Four Lions in great comedies I've seen this year.

Nothing new, it's the same selection of stunts, gags, pranks 'n poop that the guys have always done. It still made me snigger and cringe. They'll never grow up but I for one wouldn't want it any other way.
Prolly the weakest moment was gorilla in hotel room (despite a cracking believable gorilla suit). I mean, seriously..- how many times can Bam's parents act surprised or scared of the nutty things they find in their rooms?
