Default Movie Myths. True and false

Reading the article about movie mistakes [30 Shocking Movie Mistakes], in particular the Teen Wolf one with the flasher in the background got me thinking about famous movie myths. I remember spending an afternoon in my youth trying to pause Three Men and a Baby to get a good look at this ghost that people said you could see in a shot then realising with great disappointment that it's just the cardboard Ted Danson with a top hat you see earlier in the film. Other notable ones are the hanged munchkin in Wizard of Oz (I think that was really a bird or something) and the ghost killing off the cast of the Poltergeist movies. Any more for any more?

The 'sex' bit in the clouds in The Lion King was one that had us fiddling with the pause on our vhs tapes.

There was meant to be a mini cooper in a cut of 'Ben Hur' in the background, extras wearing trainers in 'Spartacus'.

The sex scene in 'Don't Look Now' being real.

Edward Norton being an egomaniacal control freak who terrorises directors, chops up edits of films that aren't his own and acts with an air of intolerable smugness in every film since 'The People Vs Larry Flynt'. Oh wait.....

Speaking of pausing VHS tapes, 'Basic Instinct' has a lot to answer for...

The dancer's wardrobe malfunction in Return of the Jedi was another VHS pause button moment. This thread's going in a different direction to how I thought it would...
