He's playing a short, gabby self-important dickhead.
WOW, what a huge STRETCH/AMAZING TRANSFORMATION from being Tom Cruise. Oh, wait. |

Yeah, but he's playing bald and ugly, morris and that makes all the difference. Apparently.

The wizard of oz. Well okay, i always thought it was a very goos movie. But It wasn't until the last time I watched, i saw it for the classic it was. One of my favourites now.
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and Hombre. I was expecting more conventional westerns. |

There are lots of films that I've watched time and again that have slowly got better (Fight Club, The Usual Supects etc) and ive always thought that good films get better with a review and bad films can only get worse, but something has changed my mind recently.
First up it was Scarface. Having watched it in entirety a good few years ago I watched it again when it was on the telly recently and it just blew me away. It wasn't just better than I remembered, it was like watching it all over again. TM is just brilliant as everyone else around him starts to do their own thing without telling him and you can see how he slowly losses the plot. But what got me was that he only wanted the best for his family and friends and to do "business". And the other film was First Blood, where I found myself siding with Sherrif Teasle rather than Johnny the "hero" because all he wanted to do was to clean him up and "give him a bath", not unleash a super physco onto his town. And the full blown army bird who came to find out why his machine blew a gasket, can anyone find out if he was supposed to have given it so much amateur dramatics in the tent speech or was it just the way he normally acted? I'm now searching for other old films that will either confirm they were brilliant or make me change my mind altogether. What say you? |

Heat is one of those films I wish I'd seen on big screen.

I quite enjoyed Prometheus. After the first half hour when I realised it would never compare to Alien I tried to watch it for what it was. A decent (if nonsensical) Scifi horror. In fact one of the better scifi films of last year.
