Not having seen any of his films I caught a glimpse of him at the BAFTA's and for the life of me I cannot see how he is a heart throb? He looks like his face has been set on fire and put out with a shovel.

First of all, jay you need the eyeballs of a teenage girl. But since presumably you don't have those (well I hope you don't ) I will explain.

Robert Pattinson looks like a smelly hobo in candids and possibly inbred. Yet bizarrely, on film if shot from just the right angle, a strange effect occurs and he takes on a faux James Dean look. Truthfully I don't know why chicks find him hot. I wondered the same thing when I saw his mug first appearing everywhere in the blessed days before I even knew what Twilight was. My niece fancies him like mad but she is 17.

I've only seen him in Twilight and the Harry Potter he was in. I had a narrow escape when I was almost taken to see New Moon but missed the session (woohoo!)

Oh do grow up. Or at least watch some REAL vampire movies. He's about as scary as kermit the frog and almost as charasmatic as a Lego brick.
The whole Twilight saga ( books and films ) is an insult to Gothic horror and the vampyre genre.
Also if R. Putz is a heart throb then there is a SERIOUS deficit of men (boys) out there.

p.s. Do try to spell Vampyre correctly. We get touchy you know.
