He's absolutely top-notch in Drive and hilarious in Crazy, Stupid, Love. I should probably get round to watching some of his older stuff.

The Believer is a smashing wee film. I couldn't recommend it more. For Gosling to give such a solid performance at such an early stage in his film career made him one to watch and a promising talent. Half Nelson is more half assed, though and Gosling wasn't to impressive in it. I've still to see Drive but based on reviews it's definitely on my watch list.

Update on my last post: Saw "Blue Valentine" not long ago, my suspicions were correct. Very good film, surprisingly emotional, and Gosling was good in that too.

We did a Ryan Gosling double bill last night: Drive followed by Crazy, Stupid, Love. He was awesome in both. Just Blue Valentine and The Ides Of March to watch, then I'll be caught up with Mr Gosling's amazing 2011.

^ Haha, I've yet to see Drive and Crazy, Stupid, Love. (not overly interested in the latter though). BV and TIoM are real treats though, neither an easy watch for different reasons but worth it.

I've now seen both Drive and The Ides Of March, and he was mightily impressive in both of them.
Can't believe that he's once again been overlooked for Oscar recognition. What the hell's wrong with the Academy voters?

So far I've only seen Half-Nelson, ok film, unsure of fuss, and the superb Drive.
He seems to do so little in most of Drive yet I found him engrossing, I is fan.
