The Ten Commandments
The Last King of Scotland

Going to watch one of these tomorrow afternoon. Any recommendations?

Wall Street boasts fine performances by Michael Douglas and a great supporting role by Martin Sheen but when I watched it again recently I thought it had dated, unsurprisingly it's totally 80's in every sense.
The Last King of Scotland is worth seeing for its Oscar winning turn by Forest Whitaker, and James McAvoy is very good, as usual.

They're three films that I probably should have seen by now but just haven't got around to and now I have them all recorded. Think I'll plump for Wall Street. I'm up for some giant shoulder pad/ mobile phone the size of a housebrick yuppie action. I really need to start widening my horizons a bit. Any free time I've had recently has been filled with dodgy horror films. That's not a bad thing but as I said there's a lot of popular and classic films I should have seen by now.

I haven't seen it, Roba. I was thinking about it when it came out but asked Mrs Cat and she was "meh" so I'm going to have to wait for the blu-ray release. If Ancient loves it it must be quite dark so I'm looking forward to it.

Forgot about this thread. I got around to watching Wall Street. Michael Douglas is really good in it and Martin Sheen is fantastic. Even tiger blood puts in a good performance.
Next question

Battle: Los Angeles
Drive Angry
Paul
The Rite
I am Number Four

Going to the cinema over the next couple of days. Are any of these recommended or not?

None of them have received particularly scathing reviews. They all seem to be getting rated as average at least. Battle: LA was what I wanted to see but I'm not sure now. I have actually heard some good about Drive Angry.

Battle LA is ok if you fancy an action film with loads of gung ho marines and gunfire. Its worth seeing on the big screen, let me know what you think of it if you go to see it.
