I have watched two martial arts blu-rays over the last few days. Ip Man 2 & Ninja Assassin.
Ip man 2, not as good as the 1st one but still a good performance by Donnie Yen with the added bonus of Sammo Hung. Ninja Assassin, probably one of the most entertaining martial arts films I have seen in a long time, plenty of limbs being hacked off by the blade of a ninja and a very good performance by a Korean pop star in the lead role. If I hadn't checked up on him I would have thought he was a genuine martial artist. |

I didnt notice that. Cool indeed. You should try and watch Blood and Bone if you havent already. Good fights. Very well done.It stars Michael Jai White and he is obviously trained.

Just had a look at the trailer, looks good. Michael Jai White has black belts in seven different styles.

It shows. Most of the guys he fights are world class MMA or martial artists. The fights are fast and well done and very realistic. Plots only average but I would recommend it without hesitation to any martial arts fan.

Good man.I showed my dad the opening scene last weekend, he liked it so much that when he got home he watched the rest of the film on Sky. I can see me having a few repeat viewings of this film. |

Hi there, i was wondering if anyone could help me find out the title of a martial art film i watched a few years ago. A friend of mine back then showed me a bit of a film where it involved ONE martial artist working his way up a tower or building with different levels, each level containing a fighter better than the last. The main part i remember was one fighter had some kind of sand spread across the floor, which made the fight scene between the two of them very good, they were kind of sliding around fighting on it. I don't really remember much more because i only saw a little bit of the film. If you know of such a film i would be very great full if you could tell me the title.
thanks, Lembo. |
