A documentary on Lou Reed's Transformer album (from Sky). Later - The Exorcist.

Smokin aces. Not seen this since it's cinema release. I'd forgotten that it's actually pretty solid and enjoyable. A weird ensemble cast of b-listers, ex a-listers, r+b starlets, future starfleet captains, rappers, a healthy portion of the cast of Lost and Jeremy bloody Piven (in a Tarantino style). Quite good.

Default Spidey

Spiderman 2 on Watch. Makes you realise how bad the 3rd film was.

Lifeforce is on MGM channel. Tobe Hooper directing a film about nekkid space vampires. I haven't seen it for years

A trip down memory lane, innit. In retrospect the first half is very good - some of the SFX downright amazing for their time - but I can't help but notice that in the last act, when they're trying to convey London town overrun by zombies, the ambitiousness of the idea exceeds the budget. It's still worth a late night look though.

It was an enjoyable couple of hours and the early sfx for Halley's comet, the space shuttle and the giant space umbrella are pretty impressive. The practical effects for the exploding dusty vampires are a bit tacky looking but fun to watch. London being overrun by zombie vampire aliens only seemed to consist of one street and the souls being sucked into the space umbrella was very Hellraiser with blue lines basically just drawn onto each frame. It still stands up as an enjoyable bit of scifi horror though.

Precisely. aye, it's a bit of fun. And the main girl vampire has a cracking pair of cans.
