Dread, a teen horror thing loosely based on a Cliver Barker short story.
... it was very average. Last edited by morris; 09-05-2011 at 10:00 PM. |

The closing "come down" minutes of Can't Hardly Wait. The oh-so-complicated plot involves a lot of teens having a party and, umm, that's it. Fortunately there's enough funny moments and memorable characters to make it an under-appreciated little teen-com stuffed with 'before they were famous' cameos (Jason Segel, Selma Blair etc).

The Blues Brothers. I haven't watched the film as a whole for abot 20 years. Hilariously enjoyable, infinitely quotable and I haven't even reached the car chase scene yet.

Star Wars. I know, I know.
I'm watching it to see Peter Cushing. I found a remastered THX DVD in a cash converter for £1.50. also The Empire Strikes Back same price, which I'll watch some other time.just finished it. Still as cheesy as I remember but the THX DVD looks good on a big screen and Peter Cushing and Darth Vader are cool. Lucas writes clunky dialogue though. Like Cameron. I got told off by Mrs Cat for repeatedly doing (very good) Wookie sounds. Last edited by morris; 10-05-2011 at 09:16 PM. |

Speaking of 'Star Wars', I'm watching 'The Clone Wars' series prequel, much better than I thought, I'm gearing up for the Blu-Ray release in September.
I've finally decided to take the plunge and will be buying an HD TV and PS3/Blu Ray player just for the event. But for now, it's just CG filler and comedy droids, oh wait...

The Matrix has just started on one of the ITV's, havent seen it in an age. What a difference it is from the so-so sequels.
