Just been watching Red Dwarf. Why didn't Holly just circle earth for 3 million years. Would have saved a lot of hassle

I thought the disaster on red dwarf would have killed all life on earth so Holly accelerated away from earth for as long as he could. I'll need to watch series 1 again.

Na just says there was radiation leak on the ship. He could have circled a planet bit closer if there was a threat.

Nothing's worse than travel sickness, or jetlag. I get the same feeling if I put on 3D glasses.
