I heart Natalie Portman. Always have. Hopefully always will. Loved her from Leon, Heat and Beautiful Girls. Even when I don't like the film (Closer, V For Vendetta), I still love her. She's classy and cool and has a great chortle.
And I just found this montage of her best bits on the Letterman Show, starting at age 14... http://www.dump.com/2011/02/28/natal...tterman-video/ |

After watching Thor i started asking myself question : does Natalie Portman take every single role Hollywood offers her without reading a script? Or maybe she thinks she won't get a good role so she takes everything. I mean she was great in Black Swan and then I saw her in No Srings Attached and I was disappointed. And then again she was in Your Highness and now in Thor. And I can't take this pain no more. I always thought she is a good actress but after watching her latest movies I started to doubt it. I still hope that this is her bad choices not a lack of talent. It is definitely Natalie Portman's year. She's got four movies already and 2011 just started but I would rather want people to say she had one great movie that one great and three bad movies.

I am a big fan Natalie Portman. She is beautiful and a also a very talented actress. I loved Black Swan and thought she was a deserving oscar winner (although I would have been just as happy if Jennifer Lawrence had walked away with it). Your Highness was a pretty dreadful film, the gags, dialogue and comedy value was atrocious, I still thought she and a couple of others played the parts reasonably given the poor material. I hope to try see Thor sometime next week, although I plan to make my next cinema visit Insidious which I am reasonably interested in. And I have no interest what so ever in seeing No Strings Attached.

To be honest I'd have happily watched Natalie Portman 'clicking her own button' in Black Swan.

I have a fair bit of respect for Portman, not least because she didn't sacrifice her education for her career or vice-versa. In the things I've seen her in she's been pretty good (well, less so in the "Star Wars" prequel films, but two of them were overall pretty forgettable...I liked "III" though). So. There you are.
