Don't think it got a UK Cinema release but its pretty genius!
Also the lookout with Joseph Gordon Levitt was decent

Yeah, that's one of those rare films that gets promoted through word of mouth. Definitely a classic and a must-see for anyone who's every worked in an office (or used a fax/photocopier).

Default Lots of indie/foreign films

Lots of indie and foreign films unfortunately (and disturbingly) get very limited release in the U.S. - limited enough to qualify as DTD...

Sticking with more recent releases, "Black Dynamite" was both hysterical (Money quote: "That's heavy shit.") and yet somehow respectful of the genre - more tribute than parody, IMHO.

"The Secret of Kells" was also a wonderfully enchanting little gem.

I'll add "Defendor" - flawed but still very watchable.

For foreign films, "Let The Right One In" was the best of its kind I've seen in a very long time, and the original, UK "Death At A Funeral" had us in tears.

Still reckon one of he greater movies of the last decade was the film Special. Shame few have heard about it.

Also the Aussie mock-u-mentary 'Kenny', about an average Joe plumber, was flat-out hilarious.

Thanks for those. They do sound pretty amusing - have added them to my rental list.

I seem to remember seeing Creep reviewed as a cinema release at the time. I think it was mainly in cinemas in and around London for a couple of weeks

Creep and Chaos both had a cinema release. I remember posters on bus shelters for both of them

Definetely saw Creep at the local multiplex. I remember cause it was late at coming on, and when the film eventually started rolling it was what looked like a pirate copy of The Mask 2 and half the screen walked out. 5 minutes later they had sorted it out but there was only a few of us left.
