Loved it. I was really worried about this film but it was excellent.

I hope its better than the first one which was massively overhyped and a 3 star film at best.
I'm looking forward to seeing Bridemaids which is being billed as a 'female hangover'. |

For my money, TF have horribly over-rated this installment. IT'S EXACTLY THE SAME FILM, SET IN THAILAND! Hand on heart, I'd say it's getting a kicking almost everywhere else because it's almost a complete re-tread of the first, and is also not particularly funny. The last third drags badly. That's not to say there are no laughs in it, but they're sparse throughout, IMO. Way too sparse to lavish 4 stars on it. I've got hopes for "Bridesmaids" as well, though. Fingers crossed that turns out okay. |

Doesnt that always worry you though? Its like when The Sweetest Thing was released and there was loads of duff hype about it being a gross out film for "girls". Since when did girls become vapid, stupid and without taste?

Yup, it's the same film as before, only taken to a new extreme.
I do commend the scale of the film though, it's not often that you see a comedy that looks as good as this does, where as much emphasis is put on location as well as gags. But that's pretty much the only thing I can commend. It's not horrific or anything, but there are far too many missed opportunities. The opening line of 'it happened again' is actually quite a good one, but it's the ensuing repetition that really kills the film. There is too much focus on replicating and then trumping setups from the first film, to the point where it sacrifices any actual innovations. Replace the baby with a monkey, the tiger with Chow, Doug with Teddy, if it happened in the first film, you can bet it's going to find a parallel here. But that's not a good thing, as there are indications of something greater. The way in which they all immediately remember how it got resolved last time is a good touch, but is undermined when this film ends in exactly the same fashion, only in a slight deviation to that formula but still arguably the same gag. A crushing disappointment if there ever was one, any memorable elements are relegated to tiny character flourishes (mostly Stu) while the film concerns itself with imitation. Chow is great though. |

I liked it if you saw the 1st 1 & liked that then you'll like this yes it's a no-brainer of a film but sometimes that's just what you want 100 minutes of mindless entertainment 2 get away from things & this fitted the bill perfectly totaly agree withTotal Film's 4/5.
Who cares what snooty critics say anyway over £10.5 million at UK Box-Office proves enough people like it no matter what the reviews say. |

What a terrible disappointment. Probably the worst sequel to any film i've ever seen. Packed cinema desperately trying to laugh at the jokes. When it gets to a guy hitting his head on microphone when making a speech then you know the film makers are scraping the bottom of the barrel.
First film was very funny and original, this is just terrible. Cooper looks like he knows what a turkey he's in and just wants to get to the end of it. God knows why Total FIlm gave it such a high rating. Avoid at all costs. |
