It's Edward Norton! An actor of some skill, but I just can't escape the smugness and that skinny sarcastic 'I know better than you, especially you!" feel to him, he just appears to be very condescending.
Other actors of some skill who seem to think they are the greatest screen presence who have inflamed my glands at some point include, Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington (I can't abide him, it's only his guilt free Tony Scott output that reduces his pretentious level from projectile vomit to simple nausea.) I do however have a soft spot for Val Kilmer, notoriously difficult to work with by all accounts, he at least appears less of a prick in interviews, plus he's Gay Perry, everyone loves Gay Perry. I bet Catherine Zeta Jones and Julia Roberts are equally devoid of humility and total talent vacuum/ego hoovers in the Jennifer Lopez mould. RANT ON! Who needs a slap?

Aww but I love 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' can one film redeem a career of smuggery?
After all 'American History X' and 'Fight Club' were great, but Norton still needs a wallop! Ok Winslet is in for a slap too, especially for her award ceremony mugging. ![]()

From what I've read Vincent Gallo is a tosser. But in my opinion he ain't got much talent to base his smugness on.

There is no contest. WAAAAAY out in front in the Worlds Greatest Tosser stakes is Jack Fecking Black.

You know the type, people so pretentious and up their own arse that no matter what films they put out, you want to rub their face against a cheese grater. One good performance and they disappear up the rectum, here's looking at you!
Jennifer Lopez, oh dear 'Out of Sight' was such a cool and sexy performance, what the hell happened?! Now you're an R'n'B diva? You're just cheddar to me! Vincent Gallo, by all accounts his latest Afghan on the run film is meant to be quite good, but his tantrums and off set delusions of grandeur are making me reach fro the cheese grater.....that nose is first! Any more for any more?

Megan Fox - surely the poster child for ego vs talent? In interviews she's always going on about how she wants to be known for her acting ability rather than her body, that she's a serious actress who refuses to be prostituted by the Holywood system, that she's a strong woman who would kick the ass of anyone who tried to put her on the casting couch etc etc...
Can she act? She certainly hasn't so far. She mangles what lines she's given in Transformers, Jennifer's Body etc. Her boobs and bum are what get her screen time, usually in slow motion. And if she wants to be known as a serious actress why is she doing photoshoots where she sits in her underwear sucking on a pen like it's the only action in town? She really is an ego-driven numpty.

Although he doesn't fit the trend with Fox and J-Lo I would say Jack Nicholson.
He's a fantastic actor, but i could never work with him even if he gave an oscar worthy performance. He walks on the set without any knowledge of his lines and has an ear piece where his lines are voiced in believe it or not and he has even been known to call action and cut himself (as if to say I'm ready... fuck it if you guys are not). It was almost a miracle he ended up in Martin Scorsese film... but like I said the man's uber-talented. |
