The moment at the end of "Star Trek XI" when the camera zooms between various droplets of red matter just before they collect as one and explode, forming a black hole in the middle of the Narada...
I am not a huge fan of 3D, but had JJ Abrams chosen to shoot at least ONE scene of that film in 3D, that would have been the recommended scene. Also, the film overall is blooming fantastic. |

Combo's speech in This Is England. Walked three miles to the cinema to see this film, and three miles back, and was worth every step AND every penny. Walked home listening to The Smiths 'Please, Please Please Let Me Get What I Want' on repeat. Good times!

Bullett Time in The Matrix Balrog scene in LoTR: Fellowship Library Ghost in Ghostbusters Final Courtroom scene in A Few Good Men Ballroom scene in Disney's Beauty & the Beast The Alien 'Popping-Out' in Alien The Pencil scene in Batman: Dark Knight Theyre the one's I can think of so far, that are/would have been worth paying to watch on the big screen. |

The best moment worth paying for? Possibly the greatest fight in movie history courtesy of Quentin Tarantino- The crazy 88 battle in Kill Bill. It oozes gore, violence and is probably the best action sequence boasting brilliant camera tricks and the general awesomness of The Bride. There again the whole movie is worth paying for

King Denethor orders Pippin to sing for him. The juxtaposition of carnage in the battle field with the carnage of Denethor's dining table as he eats is stirring - as is Billy Boyd's gorgeous Celtic singing voice. I’d have clapped if I wasn't a sighing puddle on the cinema floor.

After the first scene of Aronofsky’s The Fountain, it cuts to space-Jackman screaming “NO!”. This is followed by the purest silence I’ve ever heard in a cinema, maintained by the enthralled and reverent audience. It was a moment I’d pay (the ridiculous London price I did) to see again.

It’s towards the end when all of the Nazis are in the theater watching Nation’s Pride, and it switches to Shosanna’s face on the screen. Then she basically says you are all going to die, Marcel sets the film on fire the whole theater goes up in flames. I don’t care what anyone says, this movie is one of the greatest revenge movies of all time.
