Michael Mann to direct, as a sort of futuristic version of Heat. Get Fassbender in as Robocop and a strong supporting cast and this would be a winner.

In Verhoeven's original, those scenes lasted all of five or ten minutes. Such a different view of the material clearly shows he's trying to take a new direction with this movie. Hopefully that's a good sign.

Sounds like they are just going to make a longer version of the opening credits to the Six Million $ Man then doesn't it.
