Default What font do Total Film use in their magazine?

The main one, for the articles, reviews etc. I need to know for my film journalism coursework. Failing that, or if the font isn't readily available, does anyone know an alternative that looks quite like it? Thanks

Hi there

for the lounge section we use two, sanuk and milo

sanuk medium for the headline
sanuk black for the strap
sanuk medium for the title
milo text for the body
milo bold for the opening line and byline

Features are a mixture of Sanuk styles and Prensa styles
Prensa book for the body copy

Hope this info helps

Question font used in TotalFilm

Hi there,

I am a design student. As a part of my project I am supposed to analyze the redesign of a magazine. I have chosen Total Film as I am regular reader for the last 2 years. As a part of the process I identified one of the font in the titles as Prensa, which is also used in the body copy. I need to know the font used in the headlines for many of the articles. Chk attachments. Any help is highly appreciated.

Best
Sirish

Hi there,

I've emailed Total Film's Dep Art Ed. I'll hopefully be able to get back to you soon.

Hi again. Here's the reply from Matt Hobbs, Dep Art Ed:

=================================================
We did use ‘Prensa’ before our re-design and now we use Farnham Display as our only Serif font.

The image he has posted is using the Font ‘Jack’.

Headlines are not entirely restricted to a single font, we do mix it up a bit and use Jack, Farnham and also Alvar.
=================================================

Hope this helps.

Liz

Question Fonts used in magazine reviews

hi!

I'm doing AS level media studies and I've chosen to use Total Film as one of my magazines I'm researching.
I have to find out the fonts used in the magazine and have found most of them apart from the ones used for:
the part in the film reviews which says
TALKING POINT
(and also for the text underneath)

THE VERDICT
(and the text afterwards)

Thankyou!!!

Reply just in from dep art ed:

we only use 3 fonts in the entire magazine which are variations of Jack, Alvar and Farnham

The fonts mentioned are as follows:
The Talking point font is Alvar bold and the text after it is Jack bold
The Verdict uses the font Jack Regular and the text after it is Jack Bold
