Yeah, started watching it last year. Ive seen most of the current heavy-hitters (boardwalk, mad men, homeland, the walking dead etc.) but Breaking Bad is definately the best thing on tv right now. I can't find weakness in it, the writing sets it apart though, everything that unfolds feels natural and organic not contrived (im looking at you Dexter) while remaining riveting.
The pacing is unparalled, for instance **SPOILER** {Spoiler removed by request} and the result of this action is concluded in the very next episode! A lesser show would have dragged that storyline into the fourth, or even fifth season and drained all the drama out of it rendering its payoff anti-climatic and contrived. **END OF Spoiler**
The acting is crazy good too (3 emmys in a row for Bryan Cranston) The fact that each season is a genuine improvement on the last boggles the mind. How are more people not watching this!

They announced that the fifth season will be extended to 16 episodes and will be the final one. I'm kinda glad it's not gonna be dragged out and will end on a high unlike many other shows. The only problem is only 8 episodes are being aired this year, with the remaining 8 airing next year, apparently this makes them eligible for an extra awards season. Is that not two shorter seasons remaining? Slightly disappointed now.

Started watching this last saturday and halfway through season 2, it really is very good and has had me gripped every night. I meant to watch it when it first came out but glad I never now, I couldn't wait a whole week for the next episode!

A little tip, if you don't want to wait until October for Season 4 to become available on DVD (and trust me, you won't! - its' one of the best series to date) - hop over to amazon.de to pick up a copy.

Yeah, the box is in German but the actual menus and episodes are in English without dubbing or subtitles. They're region 2 (same as UK).

I'm trying to convince all and sundry to watch it. It's really gripping TV. Walts transformation is just phenomenal.
