I've never actually met anyone who talks like that. If that film was set in Glasgow I'd probably hate it as much as you.

You're lucky Jeff, Its rife down here. They all think that its call to talk like Dizzee Rascal and stroll about like they own the place. Mugs

Bel Ami

Robert Pattinson shags ladies in Paris. Boring. I baked a stripy zebra cake while it was on so it wasn't a total waste of an evening.

Nativity 2 - Danger in the manger

A family outing to see the first Christmas film of the year at the Cinema and it wasn't bad, quite funny and the kids are really cute. I normally don't like David Tennant but he was really good in this and like the first one it would be nothing without Marc Wootton as Mr Poppy.

Rise of the Guardians

A visual treat, 3D worked really well. Some great action scenes. Jude Laws voice was superb as the bad guy Pitch Black and they did a good job with the surround sound to make him sound like he was standing behind you at times. My only gripe is that it could have had more humour. The kids loved it.

Contagion.

Started off really well and there were some shocking deaths and some very good effects, although when the film started with "Day 2" you knew the kicker was going to pop up somewhere.

So anyone, I was looking forward to seeing the story unfolding ala The Stand and then, all of a sudden, the film was over.

It ticked all the boxes to make a great film, but fell way way short, none of the questions were answered other than what kicked it all off, you never figured out if it was a scam, if she gave it to her lover, why he gave it to the kid, what happened with the government, etc, etc.

from a solid 4 out of 5 at the start it fizzled out into a 1 out of 5 towards the end.

21 Grams - This was pretty good. The kind of film I like, with the three main character storylines that intertwine with eachother and the non-linear stucture added an extra layer of mystery to the story, where you think you understand it and then it turns out that one thing actually happened before or after another and it does get a little confusing at points but I think they do tie it together well at the end. Solid performances throughout, I love penn and del toro anyway so I knew I could trust them but naomi watts was great as well and I wasn't surprised to find out about her oscar nomination for it. The kind of film someone would enjoy if they liked Crash, Magnolia, Fargo, Memento or any other films layed out in that way - 7.9/10

I watched it last night and thought the same, it ended and you thought 'was that it'. Waste of two hours of my life. Considering it had a plethora of big stars I expected a lot more but then it it a Soderbergh film so I should have expected it to be shit.

Se7en

I stayed up last night to watch it and I can only say it's got better with age.

Such an AWESOME film that I only happened upon while channel surfing, it's one of those films, like The Green Mile, Shawshank, The Usual Suspect, etc, that, once you've started to watch, you can't turn over.

I remember watching it in the cinema when it came out (it was the only thing we could do while my mate was getting his clutch changed) and he came out saying it was nothing special.

NO SPOILERS here, but if you've not seen it, you've missed an absolute classic.

I'm sure that if it were not for the big names that took part, this would have been one of those sleeper/cult films, but the names really do deserve their star billing.
