Grubby stuff. Not sure how I feel about this one, will think on it a bit longer.

Superb performance from Fassbender (again), but this wasn't an enjoyable watch. I loved the slowness of Hunger as we watched the disintegration of Sands, but Shame was just too slow. It was really only Fassbender's performance (which actually made you pity this rather pathetic human being, due to his ability to convey the character's self-loathing), that kept the film afloat.

Amazing film. I didn't find it slow in the slightest - I was always gripped by it.
It was a lot more conventional than Hunger, but I didn't find it any less powerful. A man with no proper means of communicating, who's incapable of connecting with people on a deep level, whose only release is sex - excellent stuff!

It was a very brave performance. I didn't find it slow either. quite sad, tragic in a way.
