Default Bad Cinema Experiences

Not completely off topic guys and gals but I was wondering bar the the normal mixture of mobile checking idiots and giggling kids, what was your worst day at the cinema?

Mine was at my local odeon watching taken (The film wasn't the problem.) I had paid for premier seats for me and the missus and as we had got in there were people in our seats. We flashed our tickets like FBI badges and they moved. Just as the film starts and odeon employee asks the couple in front of us to move. They moved and were replaced with a bloke with some special needs.

I do feel for the bloke and hopes he is ok, but my gripe is with the odeon staff. After missing most of the film through this bloke throwing his arms in my face and twice nearly being punched, I was a little annoyed.

When I explained to the manager he said well this bloke is a regular he is here every week. I explained that I missed half of the film. He then said it was my problem because I didn't move. I would've had there been2 seats together available. After much heated debate I got 2 cinema tickets. This could have been avoided if the staff had put him in the back row.

Apart from that I've been quite lucky, anyone have some horror stories?

i took my nephew to see up, not only did he fall asleep on my lap (my circulation still isnt right) and miss near enough the whole of the film but he had a little accident too...

just when i thought things couldnt get much worse, we walked out of the cinema to a group of giggling youngsters pointing to a wet patch on MY trousers

I have had quite a few bad cinema experiences over the last few years, all of them to do with mouthy little chavs that want to f*ck about and ruin the film for everyone else, I got sick of having to go and tell them to be quiet or F off out side and now go for the first showing on a Sunday morning. These showings are normally empty as the chavvy teens are sleeping off their Saturday night cheap lager hangover's. At least our VUE cinema has addressed the problem, by charging us more to have an over 18 showing.

That's a step in the right direction, though why we should have to pay extra to avoid the rabble is anyone's guess. The trouble is, young chavs become old chavs. There should be a Cinema ban on anyone dressed like a chav, talking like one or smelling like one.

No doubt the whole Vue chain would then collapse from lack of foot traffic.

Time to 'fess up, who here has been someone else's worst cinema experience? I'm no chav, I'm a cat but I remember going with Jonesy to see Batman Begins after a side tour to the wine bar where much fine wine was downed.

As if that wasn't enough, we smuggled in some vodka in our water bottle. After a while we got a bit loud and had to quieten in order to deflect looks from other patrons. I sank low in my seat and remember the Bat mobile being test driven, then nothing else until the Scarecrow sprayed someone at the end. woops

PROJECTIONIST,

tell us one of your hair-raising or vomit inducing cinema tales. You must have many tucked up your tattered sleeve.

lol always happy to help. The worst one i had when I just started my projectionist training couple years ago. The first film i got to watch myself was Saw 4. I was sitting in the middle of the screen and i heard the doors open. I stood up and walked towards the door. 3 chav/neds walked in and sat down. I asked them if they had tickets for this screen and they flashed a ticket in my face. So I asked them to leave as they shouldn't be in the screen. The leader started getting lippy so i told him to f u c k off before i cracked his skull. His mates left and he stood and squared up to me. So I done what anyone else would have done. I took hold of his jacket and dragged him out the screen. The bouncers we call them where walking down the corridor doing their rounds. Asked what was going on i told them what happened so they dragged him away. Me 1 chav 0

Also when i was on the cinema floor. I was doing screen checks and micheal moores sicko was playing in screen 9. Few people in there but a couple at the back where talking . So i walked up and asked them to keep it down. They said sorry and i walked out. I went back in towards end of the film and they were still talking. Well i thought they were talking they were shagging in the back row. Now don't get me wrong i've had blow jobs in the back row of a cinema before but at 2 in the afternoon taking the pi ss a bit.

thats what i thought. I've told customers to fu ck off before . I fell out with some guy cause he wouldn't show me his tickets. So i told him either show me the ticket or f uck off. He showed me his tickets. I'm not paid enough to deal with customers shi te.
