The Wish

alright folks, was wonderin if any of yous can help me with this.

theres a song by the charlatans called "theme from the wish" which apparently (and obviously) is the theme tune to a film called The Wish.

I've looked on the net for this for ages but never found anything about it.

anyone seen it or know anything about it?

cheers

The only film I know of that Eli Roth (writer and director of Hostel) has made would be Cabin Fever.

Default Godfather Epic-Complete Saga on DVD?

I have a U.S. Paramount VHS box set of three tapes of "The Godfather-The Complete Epic 1902-1959", edited in chronological order from the first years (Mother's death, young Vito comes to NY, etc.), to that final iconic shot of Pacino as Michael at the Tahoe compound. My question is: Does this exist in DVD format, and if so how do you know which version is the "Complete Epic", since there seem to be several "Godfather" DVDs available? Thanks for a reply!

Default Uncut versions sought

Please does anyone know how to get uncut, unmutilated versions of films.

I have been trying to get a version of 'Batteries not included' which was put out on TV in the late 80s or early 90s. Much of the psychological subtlety has been edited out of the DVD I just bought. Key shots gone.

I also need a version of 'Nottinghill Gate' which includes a scene where the failing cafe is flooded with customers. The Julia Roberts character is responsible for this and it completes the charming fairytale which is what this film is, or should be. This more complete version is the version I saw, probably in the cinema, when the film first came out.

I am most seriously looking for these two versions and if anyone could tell me where I might possibly find them on sale or even if someone can supply a copy of a recording (generous expenses paid, at least) made from TV, I would be most truly and deeply grateful.

Hi GregNeal2009,

I've looked into this and the bottom line is that there doesn't seem to be a DVD version of your Complete Epic VHS box set. In fact, it sounds as though your VHS box set is considered Godfather gold dust! I found a Godfather Forum that explained the versions:

http://www.gangsterbb.net/threads/ub...rue#Post560859

and an excellent unofficial Godfather website:

http://www.thegodfathertrilogy.com/godfather.html
then click on the "Epic" link.

I hope this helps!
