too right! it may not have been as good as the first two, (but infinitely better than the fourth), but i loved it. it may not stand up as well if i were to watch it again during this BB and TDK era ,but while i was dreaming up my list, there it was. call it a guilty pleasure

actually, can i swap it for judge dredd?

Lol! Judge Dredd is definitely a guilty pleasure! I enjoy the film a lot, despite it pandering to the Hollywood audiences and breaking the rules of it's comic roots....

You have a lot of films that I own and have seen, Loudboy. Lots of what i call 'popcorn' action films that have given me loads of entertainment over the years. Don't feel guilty about having them in your list! That's the whole point of this thread, your best movies! Here are some of mine...

Dark City
Blade
Alien
Aliens
The Big Lebowski
O Brother Where Art Thou?
King Kong (2005 version)
LOTR trilogy
Leon
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
A Better Tomorrow
Bullet In The Head
The Killer
God Of Gamblers
Goodfellas
Casino
Once Upon A Time In America
Mean Streets
The Untouchables
Donnie Brasco
Saving Private Ryan
Das Boot
Full Metal Jacket
Apocalypse Now
The Matrix
Gladiator
Akira
Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas
Children Of Men
Croupier
Superman Returns

I'm sure there are plenty more!!!!

Chris.

Godfather (i love Godfather Part II but not as much as the original)

Shawshank Redemption

The Terminator (The Technoir scene still gets my heart pumping)

Point Break (Practically every scene gets my heart pumping)

A Few Good Men (Dont know if i have ever seen a courtroom drama more than once, but this i have seen about 20 times, brilliant)

Goodfellas (Not many people would have this outside their top 5 or 10)

Manhunter (Michael Mann, brilliant film, and still better than Red Dragon)

And Finally The Departed (Do not know one single person who thinks this film is nothing other than fantastic)
