Default Gary Oldman

I watched The Fifth Element last night which got me reminiscing about Gary Oldman; He seems to have been around forever but yet in very little. It’s a pity because he’s such a great actor. He's one of my favorites

Gary's a veteran old school performer who is always charismatic and holds your attention fully when onscreen. Thanks to the Batman films he's reached a wider audience. He's always been classy, but he needs reigning in at times. There's something about him that's very likeable. He's weathering the passage of time well and seems more real than many actors around at the moment.

His earlier films, like Sid & Nancy and Prick Up Your Ears are well worth checking out if one hasn't already done so.

And his directorial debut Nil by Mouth is harrowing and compelling. That film alone should make people aware of his talent

Ray Winstone in Nil by Mouth was scarily good, he is another of my favorites. No getting over his atrocious accent in the departed though.

Good performances by Gary Oldman include..
The Firm
Leon
Bram Stokers Dracula
Immortal Beloved
Sid and Nancy
Prick Up Your Ears

I especially like him in Leon which I think is his best part.

Oh and special mention to his part as Sirius Black in the Potter movies.

Gary oldman is easily one of my favourite actors. He was superb in the fifth element, Batman begins and the dark knight. But its his role in leon that tops the poll for me.

I love Gary Oldman, he's a fantastic actor. He's great in Fifth Element, and don't forget his performance in Hannibal as Mason Verger. Also I really like him in the Harry Potter films, I'm not really a fan of the films, but he is very good as Sirius Black.
