Its pointless arguing with chavs, they talk bollocks.
Seems like this rudeness of cinema goers is abundant. I think it sums up the general attitude of the population of this Country. I have had many a film ruined by noisy ignorant scum and I have told quite a few to STFU. I've got to the stage where I am missing films on the big screen and waiting for the blu-ray as I can't be bothered to sit there getting wound up. |

Snap. I'm very fast becoming convinced (sadly) that watching films in the comfort of your own home is the way forward. I'm even considering hanging up my Unlimited pass because of it (so many pictures spoilt this year), and I wholeheartedly agree with you - there's a real f*** you attitude now. But in the X-Factor culture we live in, that's what's encouraged - 'me, me, me'.
The thing is, when you challenge these cretins, it very rarely goes your way and they almost never shut up. It's more likely they'll take pleasure in the fact that they've p*ssed you off and amp it up. That, or out of sheer, clueless selfishness, just carry on. From my perspective, if they've done it more than a couple of times, I get that sinking feeling as you just know that the film is already ruined for you. On a side note, I'm perplexed why anyone not on a pass-card scheme would ruin a film they just shelled out a kidney to see (plus extortionate snack premiums) - but, I guess the bright colours and sounds are only enough to keep bovine intellects entertained for no more than two minutes. |

My dad took my sister and I to see Stargate on release in 1994 (back in UCI days).
There was a guy, who seemed otherwise perfectly temperate - with the one b*llock-twistingly annoying habit of reading every superimposed piece of text on the screen. LOUDLY. It started at 'GIZA, 1928. Gosh, that was a long time ago, wasn't it?'. Imagine this in the most text-book 'nerd' voice you can muster. I could see my dad grit his teeth, but he obviously let it go under the hopes the narration would end by itself. No such luck. He went for it several times, until dad snapped. He turned around and said 'Thank-you, but I think we can all read in here'. The guy looked stunned and apologised - I think he had no idea he was being so irritating. But that was back then - these days, asking someone for consideration or manners will likely just get you punched. |

I have always loved the experience of the cinema ever since I was a kid but its being ruined by the society we have forged, people with no manners, no morals and no respect. I am lucky to have my own room with home cinema so I don't worry too much these days about rushing to the cinema. I will always try and get to see the big blockbusters at the cinema but I make sure I go early on a Sunday morning when the chavs are still festering in their pits. |

I was incensed a few nights ago to read a friends Facebook status update that her and her husband had just been to see Breaking Dawn at my local Vue cinema, now going to see Breaking Dawn is bad enough but they also took their young baby in there with them and were pleased that the baby slept most of the way through the film. Taking a baby into the cinema is a major bugbear of mine as I have had a couple of films ruined by these selfish parents that think its ok to take their baby with them.
What incensed me even more than reading about them and their baby was that their friends all seemed to like their status and comment on how great it was that the Cinema let them take the baby in. WTF is wrong with these selfish morons. These are the same people that I have sat in the cinema with and who have moaned about people talking or using their mobile phones. You fucking morons, wait for the DVD and watch the film in the comfort of your own home where your baby can cry, burp, fart and vomit as much as if fucking likes!!! |

![]() you're on a roll today, Jay. People take their young baby everywhere like it's some kind of trendy accessory and it's the rest of us who suffer. |
