At least the rest of us have the decency to keep our perversions indoors

yes, it was. Definitely!

I think I just didn't want my mother to be right, so just sat there thinking "is he doing what I think he is doing? Should I do something?"

Kind of difficult to cause a big fuss "that man is touching my leg with his little finger". Cinema staff member looks askance at you and shrugs shoulders.

Nah you should go 'full retard' as they say in Extras and blow up Al Pacino style like in 'Heat'.

"YOU'VE GOT A GREAT ASS AND I WANT TO STICK MY HEAD ALL...THE..WAY..UP..IT!"

If he's still touching your leg after that, I'd say he's earned it.

Just went to book tickets online for Captain America at my local VUE cinema, every single showing in 2D is either fucking audio description or subtitled. I am now forced to drive out of my area to find another cinema or pay extra for 3D, surely this is descrimination to the non hard of hearing. I have sent a complaint email to them but I don't expect an answer as they have never aswered any of my emails in the past. I'm fuming

I don't think audio described makes a difference? I think they just give you headsets if you need them?

Yeah I thought that too Zippy until I went to see a film that had audio description recently (Battle LA), although I didn't know it had it until the film started, no headphones just constant words at the bottom of the screen telling me of distant booming noises and sounds of whirring machines and so on. I wasn't impressed and told the manager. There is no way I am watching Captain America with audio description so it looks like I am lumbered with the 3D version.

Guyver, seeing as you work at VUE what are your thoughts on this? Do they do the same thing at your cinema?

Every film we show has audio description you need headphones for it so it wouldn't change the screen. Every cinema has to offer these and two subtitled shows a week. Its the law so I've been told.

Must have been subtitled then the one I went to?? Its to comply with the DDA regulations so that you can't be sued by the disabled public.
