I'm afraid I went for the 3D showing because it was the only showing that was on early in the morning (I call them the chav free screenings) there was 8 of us in the biggest screen but thats how I like it. I have no mouthy chavs ruining my cinema experience and I don't have to get out of my seat and verbally abuse them.

After seeing Super 8 this morning my only gripe was with VUE cinema (again) I booked it on-line and chose the time I did because it was showing on the biggest screen, when I got the tickets out of the machine I found it had been moved to a smaller screen. The staff at VUE couldn't tell me why as they didn't have a clue. Another email of complaint is looking.

Changed screen on second day . That's really strange. Its happened to us before but only because the projector blew up.

Its strange, never had this before?? Even the staff didn't have a clue why. There was only about 10 of us at this screening and I do hope it plays to bigger crowds, its a good film. But I get the feeling that people of a certain age are going to like it more than the younger generation because of it being a throwback to the late 70's early 80's.

VUE Thurrock once again gets into my bad book. I wanted to go and see Rise of the Planet of the Apes this weekend, low & behold they have every daytime showing on one of the smaller screens, but they do have a showing at 8.30pm tonight on the biggest screen so I look at booking the tickets and they are all 3D priced? The film isn't even in 3D. I have now had to book at the Showcase cinema about 30 mins drive away from where I live. I am getting so sick of the cinema.

Guyver, have you got a hotline to the manager of Vue Thurrock? If so can you tell him he is a cock.

Your trips to the cinema seem to be more miss than hit, Jaykay. Seriously Victor Meldrew levels of bad luck. I bet you get to the Showcase and it's closed or it's flooded or something.

I have never had a problem at VUE until the last 6 months, their choice of screen for opening films and their showing times have become a joke. I used to use Odeon but that went right downhill and they were talking about closing it.

I need to own my own Cinema!!!

It's the ultimate dream. My own cinema screen would be an IMAX one. Just for watching the first few minutes of Dark Knight.

I've not had the experience of IMAX yet.

I would love my own cinema. If I win the lottery I will have one at the back of the mansion I buy. It will be the size of one of the medium size screens at VUE with removable seats so that I can use it as a night club for party's with friends and It will have a top class sound system with me at the decks. Might have to employ a projectionist though.
