The film isn't even in 3D. I have now had to book at the Showcase cinema about 30 mins drive away from where I live. I am getting so sick of the cinema.

Guyver, have you got a hotline to the manager of Vue Thurrock? If so can you tell him he is a cock.

I'll send him email. I've met him he is a cock :-)

I would love my own cinema. If I win the lottery I will have one at the back of the mansion I buy. It will be the size of one of the medium size screens at VUE with removable seats so that I can use it as a night club for party's with friends and It will have a top class sound system with me at the decks. Might have to employ a projectionist though.
Eh hello :-)

They need to invent some kind of scrambler that blocks phone internet reception or something in cinemas, to stop people bloody checking their facebook every 10 minutes.

Default What has been your worst ever trip to or experience at a cinema? And why?

Mine would have to be watching The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. It was January and the heating had broken. Despite making numerous jokes about how ‘Narnia had spilled out into the cinema,’ it didn’t alter the fact that the audience had to wear scarves and gloves while we ate our popcorn.

Default The Perfect Storm

Watched with an ex in 2000. 4 teenagers in front of us were constantly on the phone. I asked them nicely twice to stop. Then not so nicely a couple of times. Then when the boat flipped, I flipped and mobile phone was snatched off a teenager and thrown across the cinema. The film ended 15 minutes later and I felt guilty as said teenagers were seraching for phone and it was probably in bits. Ex was fuming with me but why the feck do people use phones or talk at all during a film. We split up a couple of weeks later so the teenagers probably did me a favour. Miserable cow.
Haven't been to the cinema for nearly 2 years now as I get so mad but it aint cheap.

Unhappy Worst experience Ev-uh!~

It was a 3-D showing of Avatar. My brother had seen it but I had not. I was anticipating a great experience at the theater but had my bubble busted rather quickly.

It started with the guy behind us talking incessantly during previews- I had an ominous feeling he wouldn't stop- I was right. He kept talking- loudly - during the beginning of the movie. Wanting to keep the peace, I turned and gave him the, "I'm happy you're happy to be here, but please pipe down look" only to have him say to me, "turn the f**** around!" My brother who is normally very calm, jumped over the railing to get the usher to usher this dude out.

From the back of the theater, this couple start fighting over (yes) a crying baby! It wasn't bad enough the baby was there (not enjoying the movie) and crying, but the 2 adults started to fight verbally in an ugly way using foul language. They started to leave the theater and I was later informed by the manager of the location, he had to call the police because they started to physically fight in the lobby.

Then some lady who I think was trying to stop one of them and was walking right in front of my "3-D" view, somehow tripped, fell & bloodied her mouth!

I have NO idea what happened the first 30 minutes of that movie. When it was over, we did tell management & they offered us 2 free tickets, but it was like the twilight zone of movie experiences! It is stuff like this that makes you want to wait for it on video & stay home!

I can't understand why people take new born babies into the cinema, they are just pig ignorant twats.
