I would love a sequel to Master and Commander (with the same cast and director) as there are many other books in the series to draw on but I know it's highly unlikely. According to Peter Weir the film did 'well-..ish' at the box office but not well enough to make it a commercially viable project as it was expensive and difficult to make.

I'd like to see another Bond sooner rather than later.
Actually at this point I'd be happy to see anything which isn't a reboot, remake or comic book movie sequel. But I think that's too much to ask these days.

It's been done for TV but never for the movie screen!
I thought the TV version was very good, especially Richard Armitage. Did you like the TV version?

No need for a remake a la Pride and Prejudice. In fact I prefer a classic book to be tacked as a mini series rather than crammed into a 2 hour film missing bits out.

Looks like it's Go again, Ancient...

Chris Columbus enables Neil Jordan's adaption of Gaiman's The Graveyard Book

A tastfully, well directed and scripted, not too mention acted version of the Anime film Ninja Scroll, there is potential there for a great period action/drama...although from what I have discovered on imdb its being hacked by a hack!!!!

Im not sure if I would love, or hate the idea of a film version of Shadow Of The Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. I don't think I consider it an 'unfilmable' book, but I would probably get all 'fanby' and protective over it.

Malorie Blackmans noughts and crosses. it is a story with similarities to romeo and juliet with a focus on slavery. an intresting read with a twist to the storyline, combinding this complicated love story with a good cast could make it a block buster film!

Hi! I think it would be great if they would make the Mihail Sholohov novel "The quiet Don", a movie. I know that it was made a movie years ago, but now it's time to make a new one version, a new good one. it's worth it! It will be a great movie

Lee Child's 'Jack Reacher' books.

I mean, they're practically screenplays anyway.

and I'll second Kiba's 'Master and Commander' sequel.

Having read a good few Dennis Lehane novels (Mystic River, Shutter Island, Gone Baby Gone etc) I would like to see them follow up on the Kenzie and Gennaro series of books that included Gone Baby Gone.
Probably would go for 'Darkness, Take My Hand' but I think this takes place before Gone Baby Gone.
In this book the two detectives try to track down a serial killer, becoming the prey in the process...Probably too many twists and turns in it but would like see it given a try.
