
Michael Lehmann, fresh from hit flick Heathers, ran straight into one of cinema's most prolonged hate campaigns in history when Hudson Hawk tanked at the box-office. Clearly at the time, no one wanted to see hardman Bruce Willis as a showtune-singing cat burglar, refused Danny Aiello as his best buddy and vetoed Richard E Grant and Sandra Bernhard's camp baddies looking for DaVinci's alchemy machine.
