Insidious review

Film description

In a nutshell:

Family move into new house that turns out to be a not so haunted house.

It’s not the house that’s haunted

‘Its not the house that’s haunted its your son’

After the Lambert family move into their new home it soon becomes apparent that something just isn’t quite right.

When one of their sons Dalton has an accident and falls into a coma, things in the house start to get more sinister.

Youngest son Foster and Mother Renai are terrorised by what first off appears to be a poltergeist.

Josh (Patrick Wilson) struggles to believe his wife’s stories of things going bump in the night despite being witness to a good few of them.

Josh never the less agrees to move house again, but its not long until its apparent that what was haunting them in the last house has followed them, they enlist the help of Elise (Lin Shaye) to get their lives back.

Elise reveals that the unwanted apparitions may be linked to Daltons coma, and also knows a family secret that may hold the key to banishing the unwanted visitors.
