Though it sounds like a bad joke, the set-up for director Steve Buscemi’s twitchy indie provides insights aplenty into the seamier side of celebrity. After an aborted interview, Sienna Miller’s soap starlet takes a sleazy, sad-sack hack (Buscemi) back to her NY loft. Across a boozy evening, this battle-of-who-could-care-less becomes a slightly wrong flirtation, the pair trading professional and personal secrets and lies. It’s wry and well cast, but both characters are such asses that one night with them really does suffice.
