Brad Pitt stars for director Andrew Dominik (The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford) in crime thriller Killing Them Softly (formerly Cogan's Trade). Pitt plays a mob enforcer investigating an incident that went down at a high-stakes poker game.

As no-nonsense mob enforcer Jackie Cogan, Pitt is hired to root out two chancers (Scoot McNairy, Ben Mendelsohn) who rob a high-stakes gambling den run by Ray Liotta’s crook.

Killing Them Softly's Cannes reaction was somewhat mixed, with some calling it this year's Drive while other found it rather awkward. All we know is when we saw the first clip of Brad talking about his preferred method of offing people, we wanted to see more.
