King Kong 1933 review

Film description

In a Nutshell: Giant Ape falls in love

Tagline: The strangest story ever conceived by man.

Carl: And now, ladies and gentlemen, before I tell you any more, I'm going to show you the greatest thing your eyes have ever beheld. He was a king and a god in the world he knew, but now he comes to civilization merely a captive - a show to gratify your curiosity. Ladies and gentlemen, look at Kong, the Eighth Wonder of the World.

Police Officer: Well, Denham, the airplanes got him.
Carl: Oh no, it wasn't the airplanes. It was beauty killed the beast.

The classic masterpiece of the giant ape who falls in love with a woman.

Anne Darrow is a homeless lady who is hired by filmmaker Carl Denham to star in his next project, "Kong".

Denham and his crew travel to the uncharted Skull Island to find Kong, the star of his film, whose identity he has kept secret the entire voyage.

That's when the real action begins.
