Plot: 

Vinz (Vincent Cassel), Said (Said Taghmaoui), and Hubert (Hubert Koundé) are 3 friends who live on one of the many Banlieue's outside Paris.

Feeling mistreated by France's police and its government, each reacts differently to a situation they find themselves in after a riot.

La Haine's basic plot is that Vinz finds a pistol dropped by a police officer during one of the many youth based riots in La Banlieue, and as they try to figure out what to do with it, different events and characters shape their lives.
