BUZZ

The best monthly movie preview and news section in the world... Amazing pics, hot gossip, cold facts.Buzz

TURTLES
It’s all gone a bit ’80s this month, so we punch off with the ninja ’phibians, looking really hard and packing some muscle in the pouring rain.

OSCARS
Before slowing things down a notch with some sobering news for Mexicans. And Gwynnie.

OLD BOY BACK AGAIN
First word from Korean supremo Park Chan-wook on his new, mental movie.

JEDI JUMPER
We went free-running with the fella from Casino Royale – the one who leads Daniel Craig up the crane. Here, he reveals his deepest desire...

FEATURES

Subscribe Now! - Click here...SUMMER PREVIEW
Live Free Or Die Hard, Spidey 3, Shrek 3, Hostel II... and a couple of films that – shock, horror – aren’t sequels. Could 2007 be the hottest summer on record?

GRINDHOUSE
... and could the QT/RR double bill be the coolest movie(s) in years? (Here’s a clue: there’s a woman with a machine gun for a leg.) We speak to everyone.

THE A-Z OF EXPLOITATION
Nasty Nazis, buxom brunettes, gratuitous gore and “whinge for a minge” flicks... it’s the lurid world of exploitation cinema.

80 GREAT THINGS ABOUT THE ’80S
Who says it was the decade that taste forgot? Total Film turns back time, chewing on our wham bars as we blink misty eyes.

MARK RUFFALO
He used to wait tables. Now he’s in David Fincher’s Zodiac. The laid-back star tells us how he doesn’t consider himself to be very masculine... which might explain why he’s about to play a romantic lead with no balls. Literally.

SUNSHINE
Danny Boyle thought making a sci-fi movie would be fun. He was wrong. Matt Mueller thought writing a sci-fi feature would be fun. He was... see for yourself, as he tracks Cillian and co’s trek to the stars.

RYAN GOSLING
He was the coolest guy at the Oscars (Mark Wahlberg aside) and he gives a blistering performance as a crackhead teacher in Half Nelson. Doesn’t mean he’s not susceptible to the common cold, though...

LOUNGE

We were going to call this section Sitting Room but it didn't have the same ring...Lounge

NEW
The best of British (Casino Royale, The Queen), the raciest of America (Jackass 2, Notorious Bettie Page), the enchanting-est of Mexico [Pan’s Labyrinth] and the magic wand-iest of we-want-it-to-be-UK-but-it’s-really-US (The Prestige).

ARCHIVE
Performance, Mulhollhand Drive, Reds, Peeping Tom, The Grifters... Don’t you just love movies?

LOVES
Copland. Stallone’s finest hour.

LEGENDS
Nic Cage’s Top 10. Leaving Las Vegas made it. The Wicker Man didn’t.

STUFF
Games, books, TV, soundtracks... the usual.

ALSO SHOWING

The best of the rest...

LETTERS

THE ABRIDGED SCRIPT
We had a choice: don’t buy conflict diamonds or take the piss out of Blood Diamond. It was a tough one, but...
