The giant mutant bugs are back in New York! Alas, the same can't be said for Mimic director Guillermo Del Toro or stars Mira Sorvino and Jeremy Northam, who wisely steered clear of this unambitious sequel to the 1997 original. Their replacements (Alix Koromzay, Bruno Campos - er, who are you exactly?) are left fighting both a weak script and some pesky entomological freaks who, it must be said, look pretty effective.
