
Good to see one of our Lost Classics finally getting the re-release it deserves. Bob Rafelson's weighty historical drama doesn't quite live up to the significance of its subject: the quest to locate the source of the Nile in 1850s Africa. That said, at least it proves the director shares the persistence of his heroes, Richard Francis Burton and John Hanning Speke.
