Former Daily Show reporter gets his leading role at last…
16 May 2008 9:18am
It’s been a long time coming for Rob Corddry, a man who since leaving The Daily Show has had to pay his dues playing the best friend, the weird friend and the racist Homeland Security chief in a variety of small supporting roles.
But now Corddry, last seen in Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay and What Happens In Vegas, is getting his big break as a leading man in Project A. No, it’s not a remake of the Jackie Chan classic with Corddry playing the Chan role (though we would watch that), it’s the tale of a man trained by the US government to become the world’s biggest git. Sounds perfect for him!
There’s no director attached yet, but it’s penned by Tropic Thunder co-writer Etan Cohen, so we have high hopes.
The Hollywood Reporter is bracing itself for an insult.
