Given that Kiefer Sutherland’s Jack Bauer has been so popular on TV, it was only a matter of time before someone sought to transfer that manic, terrorist-threat energy to the big screen.
But while the 24 film itself seems stalled and waiting for the series to wind down, it looks like Ned Kelly helmer Gregor Jordan has found something to fill in for now. Unthinkable sees three nuclear bombs secreted around the US, with their locations known to one terrorist. Soon a black ops interrogator (Samuel L Jackson, bringing the Snakes On A Plane pain to terrorists everywhere) and a female FBI agent must discover how far they’ll go to get the info and save the country.
It starts shooting this September and Variety is watching the clock.
