The floodgates are open on Wolverine casting stories. No sooner do we report that the likes of Danny Huston and Lynn Collins have signed on board than Ain’t It Cool reports that Ryan Reynolds will also be appearing.

If their sources (and they sound sure) are correct, the Blade: Trinity and Smokin’ Aces veteran will be suiting up as mercenary mutant Deadpool. A fellow product of the Weapon X programme, ol’ Pool features similar regenerative powers to Hugh Jackman’s hero, enhanced stamina and a wisecracking gob that loves to spout pop culture references. Here’s hoping it pans out…
