5 new clips from American Reunion

Just like old times

American Reunion has previewed five new clips online, giving us a first taste of how the gang are doing after all these years. And naturally, sex is as high on the agenda as it ever was.

The new clips give us a look at the first awkward meeting between Oz and Heather, some more band camp memories, an awkward game of “I have never”, a pep talk from Stifler, and another cringingly hilarious exchange between Jim and his dad.

You can take a look at all five, neatly bundled together into one video below…

No surprise to see Seann William Scott and Eugene Levy helping themselves to the best lines, with the latter’s anecdote about Uncle Mort sending Jason Biggs into yet another hand-over-eyes moment.

Some of the material looks a little hit and miss (band camp is starting to get a little old…) but we still can’t wait to see all the old faces back together again. American Reunion opens in the UK on 2 May 2012.

What do you think of the new footage? Hit or miss? Share your thoughts, below.

The more clips of this film I see, the more disappointed I become.

Some clips gave away some of the good jokes...But I still can't keep a straight face when Stifler says "Be her daddy".

This is another case of "who asked for this" syndrome. Why does there need to be a final installment of the American Pie franchise? Why did it need to be a franchise in the first place? Frankly this movie is a bad idea, and while it is true that a good execution could possibly redeem a bad idea, there is not much hope for this film. This just goes to show how far people will go for a cash in. This series should be dead and buried, but film makers are keeping it on life support despite it being brain dead. This does seem a really harsh judgement of a film before it is even released, but there was nothing funny or compelling in the trailer. It is annoying and juvenile to the point of being agonizing. The characters are tired, and the audience will be tired of it within the first scene. http://www.videodetective.com/movies/american-reunion/948205
