The Film: Star Trek (2009)
The director: JJ Abrams
Director’s comment: “There was a big Klingon subplot in this, and we actually ended up having to pull it out because it confused the story in a way that I thought was very cool but unnecessary. So we have these beautiful designs that we’re going to have to wait and do elsewhere I guess.”
What could be found on a new disc? Unnecessary? That entire sub plot would certainly help clear up some confusion about why Nero and his gang seem to just wait around for 25 years, doing almost nothing.
Apparently the damage caused by the Kelvin’s impact leaves them vulnerable.
Oh, and we want baby Spock too. He was in the trailer, but not in the film.
