A new trailer for Jon Favreau's summer hopeful Cowboys & Aliens has arrived online.
It's mouth-watering stuff, featuring snippets of new footage, but thankfully it's not as spoiler-heavy as some promos.
We get to hear Daniel Craig's Old West drawl in a little more detail, and there's more of Olivia Wilde's Ella (which is never going to be a cause for complaint). We even get a tiny glimpse of Sam Rockwell's Doc.
Apart from a mysterious looking hand, the extra-terrestrials are kept tantalisingly off-screen. And the trailer makes good use of an Audioslave soundtrack to turbo-charge the action.

Cowboys & Aliens is shaping up to be one of the silly season's most exciting prospects, and it's due to hit cinemas on 12 August 2011.

looks very very average to be honest. Nothing about the trailer made me feel overtly interested.

Average?? People constantly complain about remakes, reboots, re duxes and whateever... at least this is original... looks fun.

Awesome, ridiculous title aside, that looks a lot of fun! I'm looking forward to some scenery chewing from Rockwell, intensity from Craig and finally, Ford not taking himself so seriously! Anyone who can't see the fun in that trailer seriously needs to check themselves into the 'Vincent Gallo Centre for the Terminally Pretentious' and not come out until after the summer. Quality trailer!

What's not to like about this trailer? It's blockbuster season, it's high concept, it's Indiana Jones and James Bond in the same film and it's called Cowboy's & Aliens for gods sake! Pure escapist fun, can't wait!
