Aaron Eckhart is signing up to star opposite Nicole Kidman in Fox Searchlight’s drama Rabbit Hole.
John Cameron Mitchell, switching gears from the decidedly indie Hedwig And The Angry Inch and Shortbus, has agreed to direct the film, which will be adapted from David Lindsay-Abaire’s play by the writer himself.
What’s the plot? It finds a married couple (Eckhart and Kidman), who find their married bliss disrupted by the unexpected and tragic death of their son.
They must struggle through grief and emotional instability to regain their happiness.
Sounds like a great night at the movies… Mitchell aims to start shooting in May.
