Adam Sandler joins The Zookeeper

Voicing a creature alongside Stallone and Cher

High concept comedy The Zookeeper has added a host of big names to its cast to voice the various critters – with Adam Sandler, Sly Stallone and Cher all signing up.

Sandler has agreed to lend his voice to the film, (he was easy to convince since he’s also producing) which sees zoo worker Kevin James attempting to woo Rosario Dawson (below) – with a little help from his animals.

Sandler’s playing a capuchin monkey, while Cher will provide the voice for a giraffe and Sly a lion.

Also on board are Iron Man helmer on Favreau and Judd Apatow, a man not usually known for his work in front of the camera (or even, in this case, behind a microphone). Favreau’s playing a bear, while Apatow will voice an elephant.

Regular Happy Madison helmer Frank Coraci is marshalling it all together and plans to kick off shooting later in the summer for an October release Stateside next year.
