Adam Sandler recruits his mates for a new comedy

Kevin James, Rob Schneider and more in an untitled pic

Adam Sandler is roping in the likes of Kevin James, Rob Schneider, Chris Rock and David Spade for a new, untitled Sony comedy.

In what sounds like either the greatest comedic team up or sheer cinematic hell on Earth (depending on your tastes, and frankly we’re verging more towards the latter), it’s the first time all five have signed on to a film.

There’s no word on a title, but the basic pitch is that five best friends from high school reunite for comedy shenanigans on a Fourth of July weekend holiday.

Wonder when they’ll plan the release date for across the pond?

Sandler penned the script with regular writing pal Fred Wolf and if you’re looking for someone to blame for this, most of them came from SNL.

There’s no denying their box office credentials, but do we really need another movie where Schneider is allowed to be offensively unfunny?
