Adam Sandler sets new record for Razzie nominations

Eleven nods for the Jack & Jill star

The nominations for the 2012 Razzie awards have been announced, with Adam Sandler up for no less than eleven of the unwanted gongs.

Sandler’s haul smashes Eddie Murphy’s previous record for most nominations, with the Norbitstar racking up five back in 2007. Sandler’s massive haul is largely down to his dual-role in “comedy” train-wreck Jack And Jill, whilst his production credit on Bucky Larson also helped drag him down.

Transformers: Dark Of The Moon was another heavily-bashed title, with Shia LaBeouf and Rosie Huntington-Whitely both singled out for their acting “achievements”, alongside fellow human players Ken Jeong and Patrick Dempsey.

The Razzies will be doled out on 1 April 2012, a rather apposite date for a ceremony recognising some of Hollywood’s most foolish efforts. In the meantime you can check out the full list of dishonour, below…

Good thing I've only seen one of those films.

Give Pacino the worst supporting role. Hopefully he'll learn his lesson. DON'T DO IT AGAIN!

I disagree with the Hangover 2 and Ken Jeong nominations wholeheartedly. The only other one of those films i've seen is Transformers 3, which definitely deserves to be there.

Franco for Your Highness? I for one loved that, and he was great playing it deadpan.

Instead of eating poop for breakfast he's now producing them in movie form.
