Hairspray director Adam Shankman is not the first person you’d expect to be helming a John Grisham adaptation. But then, this is not your ordinary Grisham law-buster.
Playing For Pizza features zero courtroom scenes – it’s the tale of an American Football player who sees his career go down the toilet in the US and winds up playing on an Italian team, before realising his life is better than it ever was.
